Collection: Timeline Collection: 'FOCUS'

The Original MAC Experience: 'FOCUS' , created in 2009, living in a high-rise condominium in the middle of Downtown Kansas City Missouri with just a bed and studio furniture, I mostly worked on my art on the good days. During that season between the end of 2007 to a brief moment in 2010 were some of the toughest moments in my life; however a productive time regarding my art.

The 21x24 abstract fractal with symbolic silhouette hands is a correlation between ways we as humans perceive creation and how wide the spectrum is and how deep the dimensions can go. Filled with relief she has a 3-deminsional feel; in between the lines a shapely figure and in the midst a mango-pink and yellow vibration, causes for conscious awareness of the red light looking back at you.

The name MAC Experience: 'FOCUS' came about one evening when the Photographer I was working for brought to me the latest MAC Apple Computer of that time period, around 2007. It was for me to work on, replacing the one that was destroyed…

Mesmerized by the new built-in screen saver designs; joining in on the moving fun was a must… So I asked the photographer if he would work on a small project with me, him taking photos. He always said yes when I asked nicely. I set up the projector and, hooked it up to my new Apple laptop, projected the amazing screen savors and had a little fun in engaging in shadow art, four interesting shots out of that session became mosaics and 'FOCUS' is one of them.

I still hold on to these originals, they really hold a lot of memory like them being stuck in Las Vegas for about 5 years… 

Today, they represent my armor to keep going no matter what, stay in the process Thought, (think) 'FOCUS' (make), PLAY (break), Create (repeat) and not to forget which 'LIGHT' I serve. 'FOCUS' is available as a Special Collections' Edition print on a multitude of surfaces from wood, acrylic to canvas and metal, and even in sizes larger than the original.
