My Confession:
I said in recent post ‘repentance is like spiritual currency #realJUDAH’ We serve our FATTHER in HEAVEN and HE wants to reward us when we walk after HIM… It’s a relationship that gets stronger over time and a journey that leads to a peaceful life with our FATHER IN HEAVEN…
I don’t believe our FATHER IN HEAVEN asks us to do this to make our lives miserable; NO quite the opposite, HE is THE FATHER that asks us to repent so that we won’t be judged (ACTS 17:30-31); and because we don’t know the day or hour of this judgement (Mark 13:32-36), I choose to repent daily; for me, its like taking a spiritual bath every morning…
Just as I would not walk out of my house without a shower; I would not walk in this secular world without purifying my Spirit, making sure it aligns with the Holy Spirit… Its not perfect, but It replaces the ‘night cap’ I used to drink before bedtime. I repent to purify my heart before HIM by acknowledging my sins and walking away from them. Sometimes I slip and need to repent for the same issue over again.
To repent means to know what your doing wrong and finding ways to quit doing that thing… Its not easy; we tend to rationalize our sins I confess I do… But understand this, ‘you can run but you can’t hide’… Our FATHER IN HEAVEN is not to be played with… The Almighty Merciful , the solution comes with prayer, asking our FATHER IN HEAVEN to help us repent of that thing…
