10-Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

 9- Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

 8- Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

 3- Think not that I AM come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I AM not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

 2- Ye are the light of the world.

 1- Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your FATHER which is in Heaven.

My Confession: Life can be so overwhelming; constantly being corrected, it’s a wonder we do anything right at all.. Have you ever felt that way, I have… As a matter of fact, I’m surprised when I actually get something right, and I Praise GOD when I do… So, it’s nice to read Matthew 5 and encourage myself and others.

If we are poor in spirit which I often am, HE promises us the Kingdom of HEAVEN… WOW!  What is it to be poor in spirit? For me it means knowing that no matter how hard and willing I am to try and please our FATHER IN HEAVEN, I’m simply not going to get it right all the time, and that is disheartening for a moment and then we can turn to Matthew 5 and see HIS beautiful promises.

We are blessed when we are poor in spirit and meek at the same time. When we hunger and thirst for righteousness and are merciful toward others, when we purify our hearts and are peacemakers, we are blessed… AMEN! It’s comforting to know that when we are persecuted by others which brings on the 'poor in spirit' feeling (depression) GOD says we are Blessed!  So, with all that goodness, depression should only last a small moment. He tells us, we are the light of the world. We are to let our lights shine (cheer up and adopt a positive attitude) before man (in public view) Its always a good opportunity for others to see our works that glorify our FATHER IN HEAVEN…  HalleluYah Praise YAH AMEN
